A business glossary is fundamental to a Data Governance program.  A business glossary records the meaning and use of data so that people at all levels of an organization can easily understand and use data products.  Resources listed on this page  include how to select data to define, how to select a glossary entry name, how to write a business or functional definition, and tips for training staff who will provide content to your business glossary.
